About Åland International:
Each class is divided into age groups. For WAG Easy gymnasts born 2012-2016 (younger) will compete against each other and gymnasts born 2011 and earlier (older) will form a separate competition.
The WAG CoP competitors will be divided into juniors (born 2011-2015) and seniors (born 2010 and earlier).
With these rules in place, six gymnasts per competition format and age group will make the finals on each apparatus. The All Around winners in the FIG CoP will be awarded price money. 500€ to the senior AA winner and 200€ for the junior AA winner!
The team competition will be made up by all gymnasts per club and class. One team competition in WAG FIG and one in WAG CoP. No division into younger/older or juniors/seniors. The three best scores per apparatus will go towards the team score.
Om tävlingen:
Åland International är en internationell tävling i artistisk gymnastik som ordnas årligen av Gymnastics Åland på Åland. Gymnastikklubbar inbjuds att delta och med våra anpassade regler ”WAG Easy” samt klassen ”WAG CoP” vill vi erbjuda internationell tävling för gymnaster på olika nivåer. Tävlingen består av kval, mångkamp och grenfinaler. De sex bästa per redskap och klass går till grenfinaler. Åland International hölls första gången 2018 och vi jobbar med att utveckla konceptet varje år och vill göra tävlingen attraktiv för klubbar och föreningar från hela Europa.
Åland International is an international artistic gymnastics competition organised annually by Gymnastics Åland on the Åland Islands in Finland. Gymnastics clubs are invited to participate and the competition formats are WAG Easy rules and WAGCoP rules. In the competition there are qualifications, all around final and event finals. The best six gymnast per apparatus and competition class will go through to finals. Åland International was held for the first time in 2018 and we hope to continue hosting the competition every year and are open to gymnasts from all over Europe and the world!
